Tegic Communications today announced new enhancements to its T9® Text Input software, the leading text entry solution for wireless phones. The new "adaptive" text input features learn an individual's language patterns and automatically adapt to changes in those patterns. The new software learns phone users' unique "texting" language such as slang, mixed alpha-numeric phrases , emoticons, URLs and e-mail addresses. In addition, manufacturers and wireless carriers can customize T9 databases with words and phrases that are specific and important to their customers.
