Apr 29, 2002, 3:26 PM by (staff)
Sprint today announced Sprint PCS Business Connection(SM) Enterprise Edition, a service providing enterprise customers wireless access to corporate e-mail via their Sprint PCS Phones or handheld computers. The service works with both Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes, and also provides mobile access to PIM information, including calendar, contacts and tasks. The service can be easily deployed across the enterprise and managed via a web-based administrative interface. As a network-based solution, there is no costly middleware or hardware for customers to install behind the firewall, and employees are not required to install software onto their desktops. The service is expected to be available mid-2002.
