Sony announced today a new, smaller Memory Stick format. Memory Stick is a removable flash-memory card format roughly the size of a stick of chewing gum. Sony created it for devices such as cameras and digital audio players. The new Memory Stick Duo is about 1/3 the size of the original, and is meant to fit into devices such as cell phones. In a related announcement, Japan's NTT DoCoMo said today that some of their upcoming camera-phones will sport Memory Stick slots.
