RIM Licenses Ericsson Mobile Phone Technologies

Ericsson has concluded a worldwide patent license agreement with Research In Motion (RIM). Under the terms of the agreement, Ericsson has granted RIM a license for Ericsson's GSM, GPRS, EDGE and CDMA2000 mobile telephony patents. This allows RIM to develop, manufacture and sell products using mobile technology from Ericsson. In return, RIM provides royalty payments, as well as a reciprocal license to Ericsson.
