Jun 26, 2002, 2:13 PM by (staff)
AT&T Wireless today announced a new, integrated billing platform for mobile commerce via its mMode service. AT&T Wireless now enables content providers to charge for their digital goods and services directly to customers' wireless phone bills or credit cards. The platform, powered by Qpass, gives customers a choice of payment options via an "e-wallet", which is protected via a PIN code. "Hard goods" (i.e. CD 's) can also be purchased using the e-wallet, but must be charged to a personal credit or debit card.
