Panasonic Phones To Use Nokia Software

Matsushita, the Japanese manufacturer of Panasonic mobile handsets, and Nokia, today announced an agreement whereby Matsushita will license the Series 60 Platform from Nokia and integrate it into their Symbian OS–based multimedia phones. Series 60 is a software platform for smart phones, which consists of key applications and a modifiable user interface. Series 60 debuted in Nokia's 7650 model, and has also be licensed by Siemens.
