Nokia, SGI Link for Mobile 3D Standard

SGI and Nokia announced today that they will cooperate on the development of a 3D graphics standard for mobile terminals, based on OpenGL. The possibilities of these mobile terminals will range from games, to video clips synchronized with text, to 3D representations of buildings and terrains. The agreement between SGI and Nokia ties into an embedded devices standard that is being developed by the Khronos Group.
