Palm Launches New Enterprise Solution

Palm Inc. today announced the availability of its Tungsten™ Mobile Information Management (MIM) Solution, a secure wireless email and groupware access solution for enterprises. The system is designed to work with existing wireless handhelds such as the Palm i705, as well as forthcoming new models from the company. Users can also download and view email attachments through the use of an included server-side attachment-processing platform. Palm today also a new branding strategy, consisting of two distinct sub-brands. The Tungsten brand will focus on mobile professionals and enterprise work forces, while new Zire handhelds will provide affordable options for individuals.
