Sprint, Sanyo Announce First Integrated Camera Phone For U.S.

Sprint and Sanyo today announced the PCS Phone by Sanyo 5300, the first mobile phone for the U.S. with an integrated digital camera. The phone also sports dual color displays, Java, GPS, and WAP 2.0. The camera features VGA resolution (640 x 480 pixels) plus image controls and short-range LED flash. Both color displays support 65,536 colors. The external color screen offers the convenience of quickly identifying an incoming call via Photo-Caller ID. The Sanyo 5300 will be available in November for $399.99.
