Samsung Inks Smartphone Deals

Samsung this week announced new deals to produce smartphones based on rival operating systems. Samsung today announced that it will produce phones based on Microsoft's Windows Powered Smartphone and Pocket PC Phone Edition platforms. Yesterday, Samsung also announced that it now an officially a licensee of Symbian's OS, which competes with Microsoft's Smartphone platform. The company had announced a tentative deal with Symbian six months ago. Samsung last month also renewed its Palm OS license with PalmSource. Samsung is the only manufacturer to support all of the major smartphone platforms.
