U.S. Cellular Launches in Chicago

U.S. Cellular today launched wireless service in the Chicagoland area and central Illinois, including Bloomington-Normal, Champaign-Urbana, Decatur and Springfield. The company acquired the new areas through the purchase of PrimeCo's Chicago-area operations. Over the next 12 to 24 months, U.S. Cellular plans to invest an additional $90 million in wireless infrastructure to enhance service for customers throughout Illinois.
