Qualcomm Announces 5-Band 3G Chip

Qualcomm today announced the radioOne™ RTR6250™ chip, a fully integrated transceiver/transmitter for UMTS (WCDMA) and GSM systems. The RTR6250 device, which features radioOne Zero IF architecture, interfaces directly with Qualcomm's MSM6250™ baseband processor, and supports quad-band GSM transceiver operations (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) and dual-band UMTS transmit operations (1900 MHz and 2100 MHz).
