AirNet yesterday announced that it has successfully demonstrated its SuperCapacity™ AdaptaCell® base station utilizing ArrayComm's IntelliCell™ adaptive array technology in a multi-site network. The recent trial demonstrated several new technologies, including an "N=1" frequency reuse scheme, which allows operators to re-use the same frequencies and time slots in adjacent macro cells, boosting network capacity up to 600%. AirNet will present the adaptive array SuperCapacity base station at the 3GSM World Congress03 in February, and CTIA Wireless 2003 in March.
