Sprint PCS Launches Streaming Multimedia News Service

Sprint PCS today announced 1KTV, a service that lets PCS Vision™ customers watch up-to-date information and breaking news, finance, weather, sports and entertainment straight from their PCS Phones. 1KTV is a Java-based application that is downloaded to a Vision-enabled PCS Phone and, once opened on the handset, uses a slide show format with streaming audio to provide news on-demand. The service is priced at $3.95 per 30 days.
