Cingular Launches Voice Portal

Cingular yesterday announced the nationwide launch of its Voice Connect voice-activated portal. The service offers network-based voice dialing, as well as an array of voice-driven news and information services. Subscribers can set up their address books by voice, via the Internet, or by syncing with their Outlook or Palm Desktop address book. The service costs $4.99 per month, plus airtime charges.
