Verizon Preps MMS

Ericsson today announced that it has installed its technology to integrate MMS, including custom extensions and services into Verizon Wireless' network. Ericsson's MMS solution is based on the MSS standard approved by 3GPP and 3GPP2. Ericsson's MMS technology offers a dramatic increase in mobile-to-mobile and mobile-to-e-mail messaging capabilities by enabling users to send color pictures, animations, audio and videosuch as electronic reminders and postcards, animated instructions and cartoons, and multimedia presentations.
