Nokia Bolsters Chinese Presence

Nokia announced today that it will merge its four existing joint ventures in China, in a move designed to strengthen the operational efficiency and competitiveness of its China operations. In addition, pending government approval, the new company will begin local production of CDMA handsets for the Chinese market, using Nokia chipsets.
