AT&T, T-Mobile Sign GSM/GPRS Roaming Deal

AT&T Wireless and T-Mobile USA today announced a new roaming agreement that will expand GSM/GPRS 1900 MHz voice and data coverage for both companies. AT&T Wireless customers will gain new roaming coverage in Minnesota, New Jersey, Florida, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, New Mexico, and Texas. T-Mobile customers will gain new roaming coverage in New Mexico, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Texas, Arkansas, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Tennessee. The companies also announced an agreement to dramatically reduce cell tower lease costs between the two companies. In a separate release, AT&T Wireless today also announced a roaming agreement with Cincinnati Bell Wireless, covering Greater Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio.
