NEC Announces Quad-Band GSM Phone

NEC has announced a new GSM/GPRS phone that supports all four GSM frequncy bands, including the new US GSM 850 band. The world phone also sports a folder design, 65,000 color 14-line display, EMS and MMS messaging, SyncML, USB, infrared, polyphonic ringers, and a browser supporting WML, cHTML (i-Mode), and xHTML. The phone will be on display this week at CeBIT in Hanover, Germany.
