Vocre 2.0 Offers Instant Translation within Video Calls

A small company called Vocre is offering an application that lets users conduct a FaceTime-like video chat that includes live language translation between the two participants. Users can join a video chat session and communicate even though they don't speak the same language. In addition to live video call translation, the application offers translated messaging (similar to IM), and stored conversation history. The app is supported by adds, though premium services, including a live, on-demand human interpretor are also available. The application supports 23 languages from 22 countries. Vocre 2.0 for iOS (works on the Apple iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch) is in a closed beta at the moment, but will be more widely distributed in the near future.
