HTC Invests in SyncTV to Bring Video to Handsets

HTC today announced that it has struck a strategic investment partnership with Intertrust Technologies Corporation (ITC), which licenses distributed computing and digital rights management technology. As part of the investment, HTC has acquired 20% of ITC's SyncTV product. SyncTV is a cloud-based video service that delivers video over the internet to devices such as Android, Windows Phone, and iOS smartphones. The amount of HTC's investment was not disclosed.
