Opera Offers Advertisers Better Privacy Tools
Apr 3, 2012, 8:25 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Opera Software today launched App-Tribute, a new service for mobile publishers and advertisers to collect certain types of user data without also snagging sensitive elements such as unique device identifiers, cookies, or MAC addresses. The service, which was developed in response to consumer concern over privacy, is being made available via Opera's advertising properties, including AdMarvel, Mobile Theory, and 4th Screen Advertising. Advertisers and publishers can download SDKs from Opera that will help them create ads and content that is less invasive.
