Research In Motion today announced that a number of applications are now BlackBerry Messenger connected. The new slew of BBM connect apps include Facebook, Twitter, BlackBerry Travel, BlackBerry App World, and BlackBerry Music. Updates to these applications will be pushed out over the next 10 days, allowing BlackBerry smartphone users to interact with their BBM contacts from within the BBM connected apps. For example, RIM says that once Facebook and Twitter are connected with BBM, users can share their status updates and tweets as their BBM personal message, as well as share tweets or Facebook updates with BBM contacts. RIM said that users interested in using these features should check for updates in BlackBerry App World.
