Apple and Research In Motion have been sued for patent infringement by a shell company located in Texas. Touchscreen Gestures alleges that Apple and RIM infringe on patents related to scrolling, double tap, tap-and-drag, and single-tap gestures on devices such as the iPhone, iPad, and BlackBerry Torch and PlayBook. The four patents in question were originally awarded to a Taiwanese firm called Sentelic in 2007 and 2008. It's unclear what Touchscreen Gestures' relationship to Sentelic is.
