YouMail Will No Longer Develop for BlackBerry
Apr 13, 2012, 5:12 PM by Eric M. Zeman
YouMail today announced a final update to its YouMail client for RIM's BlackBerry platform. The updated application will be YouMail's last, however, as the company revealed that it is suspending all development for the BlackBerry platform. YouMail blames the decision on the steady decline of YouMail users on BlackBerry as they transition to devices running Android and iOS. This final version of YouMail includes some significant changes, though. With the software, users can ditch callers and see callers that have been ditched. It also has a completely rebuilt and more stable user interface. Last, YouMail has removed adds from the application, making it free and ad-free. YouMail will continue to develop for Android and iOS. YouMail for BlackBerry is available for download in BlackBerry App World.
