Google provided an update to its desktop Cloud Print service recently that adds a few new features for Android devices. It is now possible to send documents from the desktop directly to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphones and tablets, rather than to a printer. In order to do this, Android 4.0 owners will have to install the Google Chrome Beta and sign into their account in the browser. Users will then see their Android device as a possible "printing" destination, and can send a copy of the document to their Android device as a PDF. The new version of Google Cloud Print also lets people send documents to the nearest FedEx office, or cloud-aware printers. The service is free to use.
