Apr 26, 2012, 1:21 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Twitter today updated its applications for the Android and iOS platforms. According to Twitter, the updates were made in order to improve usability of the apps. The Discover tab has been reworked so that users can tap any story once to see tweets about a particular trend or news article, and then participate in the conversation about those trends/articles. The search function has been improved in both applications. It will now autocomplete searches for usernames, first names, and last names, and the iPhone version will show the user's recent search history. Last, the applications add push notifications for interactions such as when tweets are favorited or retweeted. Twitter for Android and iOS is free to download from their respective app stores.
