Huawei Prism Joins T-Mobile's Entry-Level Offerings

T-Mobile USA today announced the Huawei Prism, a new Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone that will be available starting May 6. The Prism features a 3.5-inch HVGA display, 3.2-megapixel camera with video capture, and compatibility with Google's services. It has a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 32GB, though it will be boxed with a 2GB card. The device has a Qualcomm processor at 600MHz, and ROM and RAM of 512MB each. It supports aGPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and has an FM radio. The T-Mobile Prism is expected to be available at Best Buy starting May 6, at Walmart starting May 9, and available through most other channels by May 23. The Prism will cost $19.99 after a $50 rebate with a two-year service agreement. Full retail price of the Prism is $149.
