RIM Announces New Executives

Research In Motion today added two new employees to its rank of C-level executives. It has hired Kristian Tear to serve as the company's Chief Operating Officer and Frank Boulben to serve as the company's as Chief Marketing Officer. Tear joins RIM from Sony Mobile Communications, where he served as Executive Vice President. Boulben is the former Executive Vice President of Strategy, Marketing and Sales for LightSquared. RIM believes the addition of these two executives will help its turn-around strategy with the launch of BlackBerry 10 later this year.
