Google today announced a small update to the behavior of Google+ notifications. Starting today, Gmail users can reply to Google+ notifications from within the Gmail inbox. According to Google, desktop Gmail users can view, comment on, and +1 posts from their inbox; view their own comments threads in real time; and see responses from others as part of the notification message. Google also made it easier to respond via mobile devices. Now, Google+ users can take advantage of a new "Reply to this email" link that appears within G+ notification emails to automatically join the Google+ conversations. This will also work with non-Gmail accounts. Google is rolling these features out to Google+ users over the course of the next week.
