Samsung Picks Up mSpot to Bolster Cloud Services

Samsung today announced that it is in the process of acquiring mSpot, a California-based company that provides cloud access to media. According to Samsung, the acquisition will add to its music, video, and radio services for Samsung devices. At the same time, it will expand the potential footprint of devices for mSpot and its services. Once the acquisition is complete, mSpot will be a key pre-installed service on new Samsung mobile smartphones and tablets. Samsung will acquire all the assets, products, and employees of mSpot; terms were not disclosed.
