Facebook has unveiled a new service called the App Center. The App Center, which will be viewable on Android and iOS devices, as well as the web, offers developers a chance to show off their mobile applications. According to Facebook, all canvas, mobile, and web apps can be listed in the App Center, which Facebook hopes will become a central location for mobile device users to seek out and download mobile applications. Users can browse apps that are compatible with their device, and if a mobile app requires installation, they will be sent to download the app from the App Store or Google Play. Developers can create detailed informational pages about their apps. Facebook is also providing developers with tools to monitor their apps' traction with users of Facebook's App Center. The App Center will fully launch in the coming weeks.
