Verizon Wireless plans to expand its LTE 4G network footprint once again, this time on May 17. The company will launch LTE in new markets, as well as extend the presence of LTE in existing markets. Many of the new markets are popular beach towns and vacation spots, including Cape Cod, Northern Vermont, the southern shore of Long Island. Along the Jersey Shore, LTE will be available in Sea Bright and Monmouth Beach, Belmar, Point Pleasant, Toms River, Atlantic City, and Cape May County. Other beaches that can look forward to 4G are Rehoboth Beach, Bethany Beach, Lewes and Seaford in Delaware; The Outer Banks of North Carolina (Memorial Day Weekend); as well as Ocean City, Md., and Virginia Beach, Va. Verizon's LTE 4G network already covers 230 million POPs across the U.S.
