Microsoft Debuts Photosynth Camera App for Windows Phone
May 30, 2012, 8:39 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Microsoft today announced the availability of Photosynth, a new camera application that can paste together 2D images to create a 3D panorama landscape. Microsoft describes the resulting image as a "full panoramic sphere" — 360 degrees both horizontally and vertically. The application automatically "sews" together individual shots to create the final image. Pictures can be shared via Microsoft's Photosynth web site, where it is easy to pan side-to-side and up-and-down, as well as via Twitter and Facebook. Photosynth for Windows Phone is a free application.
