Layar Eyes Interactive Print Media
Jun 5, 2012, 8:10 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Layar today announced a new product for magazines and other print publications that will make them interactive with mobile devices, such as smartphones. Its new Layar Creator tool allows publishers to upload images or PDFs, and place a number of digital buttons onto the pages and publish them on the Layar platform. Then, when readers view activated pages with the Layar app on their smartphone, the buttons and other associated content appear on top of the page, creating a more interactive print-reading experience. Layar Creator is for use by publishers, but the content can be viewed with the Layar augmented reality browser on smartphones.
