Jun 26, 2012, 5:54 PM by Eric M. Zeman
U.S. Cellular today announced sweeping changes to its executive team, which sees several new positions being created, as well as one elimination. First, the position of chief strategy and brand officer is being eliminated and Alan D. Ferber, who currently holds that role, has chosen to leave the company. David Kimbell will assume the new role of senior vice president, marketing and chief marketing officer in order to provide greater focus for marketing and brand management. Two other positions, one being the vice president, business strategy, and the other being vice president, multi-channel strategy and operations, will lead an integrated approach to enterprise business strategy and deliver a seamless and integrated customer experience across multiple channels, respectively. These last two roles have yet to be filled.
