VLC Beta Released for Android
Jul 2, 2012, 7:25 AM by Eric M. Zeman
The VLC media player received significant desktop updates today, and was also released as a new beta for the Android platform. VLC is a free, open source multimedia playback app that covers most file, disc, and media types. The VideoLAN development team strongly cautions that the beta is meant for "power users and hackers" and is not entirely stable. It says a full release should be available in the near future. The beta doesn't support all Android devices but can be used on the bulk of them running Android 2.1 and up.
