Sprint Leases LTE Network Access to FreedomPop

Sprint today announced that it has signed a wholesale agreement with FreedomPop that will give the mobile broadband provider access to Sprint's LTE 4G, WiMax 4G, and EVDO 3G networks. FreedomPop plans to offer free mobile broadband access to its customers with a data cap of 1GB per month. Users who want or need to use more than 1GB of mobile broadband data per month are charged what FreedomPop calls "fair" rates. FreedomPop plans to offer a mobile hotspot and a "Freedom Sleeve" for the Apple iPhone. Sprint's 3G and WiMax networks are already operative, but FreedomPop plans to launch after Sprint's LTE network is off the ground. Sprint is expected to launch LTE service in five cities July 15 and eventually reach 250 million Americans by the end of 2013.

They're just going to GIVE me a GB of data? I do not understand.

Already???Again??

Their network is so bogged down it is not even funny. Almost every prepaid carrier uses this 3g network, at times is slower than EDGE(have done speed test in Indianapolis). At times you can't even send a picture message or text. Now they are adding another carrier to slow down the network. They don't cap or throttle contract paying customers, but they don't need to because it is throttled by the network being pimped out.

Don't even bother calling their network 3G, just say "Sprint's network" and people will know how slow to expect their data.
