Sprint today announced a new initiative to make it even easier for customers to sell back old, unwanted gear while shopping for new equipment via its web site. Sprint has added the "Sprint Buyback" system to its online purchasing tools, which will provide phone shoppers with instant quotes on the value of their old devices. Customers can sell back multiple devices in a single purchase. Sprint then mails the customer a pre-paid shipping label, who sends the equipment to Sprint, which eventually credits the customer's account. Customers can already sell gear back to Sprint directly in stores and via a mail-in option. According to Sprint, 39% of its customers are now returning or selling old, unused equipment when purchasing new equipment. Sprint hopes to increase this to 90% by 2017.

It's been a feature for almost a month now..

The site had an annoying pop up each time you visited the phones page.
