Flextronics and Microsoft Announce Reference Design

OEMs that want to quickly launch a low cost Microsoft Smartphone have a new choice, the Peabody reference design. This design, created and integrated b Flextronics, can be licensed to OEMs for customization and sale. Other than a GSM/GPRS radio and Microsoft Smartphone OS, few details are available about the phone. Microsoft has created a number of reference designs with ODMs since launching Windows Mobile, both for Smartphones and Pocket PC phones.
