Cricket Wireless today announced sweeping changes to the rates it charges for services for both feature phones and smartphones. The cheapest feature phone plan now costs $35 and includes unlimited talk and text. The $45 feature phone plan adds more calling features, unlimited MMS, unlimited international texting, and unlimited 3G data. Smartphone plans start at $50 per month and include all of the above features, plus Muve Music and 1GB of 4G data. The $60 smartphone plan adds visual voicemail, tethering, and bumps the 4G data allotment to 2.5GB. The $70 plan increases the 4G data allotment to 5GB. Cricket's PayGo plans have also been updated to more closely reflect its standard plans. They start at $25 month for 300 voice minutes, unlimited messaging, and unlimited 3G data. The PayGo plans add more features at the $35, $45, $50, and $60 price points. All the new plans will be available starting September 2 at Cricket Wireless stores and online.
