An executive with Isis, the mobile payment joint venture between AT&T, T-Mobile USA, and Verizon Wireless, has delayed its September launch by one month. The delay marks the second by Isis this year, which originally planned to launch during the first half of the year. Isis' head of marketing, Jaymee Johnson, told Reuters that the organization is "wrapping things up and finishing final punch list of items." Isis will launch first in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Austin, Texas. Johnson told Reuters that Isis will have hundreds of merchant partners when it launches next month, and that number will expand to thousands quickly. Isis is a competitor to Google Wallet, which is available on select Sprint and Nexus devices.
