U.S. Cellular recently announced the availability of Wi-Fi Now, an application that automatically connects U.S. Cellular smartphones to trusted Wi-Fi hotspots. Wi-Fi Now, which was developed by Devicescape, will help U.S. Cellular customers reduce their mobile data usage by directing their data from the cellular network to Wi-Fi when it is available. The applications runs in the background and hands data sessions from cellular to Wi-Fi networks seamlessly. The application is a free download from the Google Play Store.
