Nokia recently announced Xpress for Lumia Beta, a new browser that it says will help Lumia device owners reduce the amount of data used when surfing the web. According to Nokia, its Xpress browser compresses data by up to 85% and also helps cut down on battery usage. It lets Lumia owners check their data usage, save pages for offline reading, as well as save various different file types directly to their SkyDrive account. Xpress for Lumia Beta also offers a word discovery tool and one-click language translation for most web pages. The beta browser is free to download from Nokia's Beta Labs web site.
