Nuance Communications today announced the availability of Dragon Mobile Assistant for Android devices. The beta application is a voice-powered assistant that lets Android device owners dictate/send text messages, make calls, set calendar appointments, and other tasks by talking to their phone. The beta app is based on Nuance's Dragon Go! natural voice and artificial intelligence technology. It can be woken up by saying, "Hi, Dragon" and can also read in-bound text messages and emails when in Drive Mode. Dragon Mobile Assistant is free to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich devices in the U.S. and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
