Apple and HTC Settle All Litigation, Sign Licensing Deal

Apple and HTC announced that they have reached a 10-year licensing agreement regarding their respective smartphone patent portfolios. As a result, they have dropped all patent litigation in all courts around the world. The agreement covers current and future patents. Terms of the licensing agreement were not provided. "We are glad to have reached a settlement with HTC," said Tim Cook, CEO of Apple. "We will continue to stay laser focused on product innovation."

So glad they finally realized this was hurting their image....
A lot of people surprisingly dislike Apple, because of the way they're perceived as a company - greedy and always out on the hunt for a lawsuit.
