Microsoft today released a new mobile email application for Google's Android platform. The application is called Outlook.com and lets users of Microsoft's online email service (formerly known as Hotmail) sync their Microsoft inbox, calendar, and contacts with an Android device. The application lets users view and sync folders and sub-folders, as well as send, receive and view photos and other attachments. The email app supports multiple Outlook.com accounts. Outlook.com for Android is a free download from the Google Play Store. It is compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up.
