Verizon's LTE Footprint Expands to 470 Markets

Verizon Wireless today announced a significant increase in the size of its LTE 4G network. Verizon says 29 new markets have access to its LTE 4G for the first time. Some of the new markets include Payson, Ariz., Oskaloosa, Iowa, McCook, Neb., and Jackson Hole, Wy. It also expanded its LTE presence in 36 existing markets, including western Massachusetts, northern Kentucky, and southeast Iowa. According to Verizon, its LTE 4G network now covers 250 million Americans. Verizon will finish deploying its LTE network by the middle of 2013, which will eventually cover about 300 million people.
