Nvidia Intros 4-Core Tegra 4 with LTE

Nvidia today announced the Tegra 4, its next-generation mobile processor for smartphones and tablets. As with the Tegra 3, the Tegra 4 boasts a 4-core architecture, meaning it has four main Cortex A15 processor cores based on a 28nm processes. It also has a fifth, low-power processor to help manage energy efficiency. The Tegra 4 doubles the number of GPUs to 72 and has support for LTE 4G. Nvidia claims the processor is twice as fast as the Tegra 3. Availability has yet to be announced.
