Jan 16, 2013, 1:34 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Sprint today added 28 new cities to the list of markets that will be upgraded to LTE in the coming months. Late last year, Sprint outlined plans to increase its LTE footprint to a total of 150 markets. About 50 of those markets already have coverage, and, before today, 36 others had been named. Some of the new markets added to the list today include Hot Springs, Ark.; Gettysburg, Pa.; and Spartanburg, S.C. According to Sprint, some customers may see LTE service come and go ahead of each markets' full LTE service launch. Sprint said it will provide more details about the timing for each market closer to the launch date.
